Revolution Trends

This isn't directly related to the uprisings in North Africa and the Middle East, but it is possible that it could lead to a similar surge in protests as other US state governments face tough budget choices. The Republicans did well in the midterm elections winning governorships and majorities in state assembly and senate that they didn't have before. Now they're facing the loss of federal stimulus funding that was subsidizing their budget, and most states aren't allowed to run deficits.
